In a performance echoing the drum invocation that opened the SFJAZZ Center in January 2013 and the cross-cultural evening of percussion virtuosity he presented during his March 2013 weekof residency, Zakir Hussain signals the official re-opening of the SFJAZZ Center with a pair of friends who also happen to be two of the greatest percussionists on earth — drumset phenomenon Eric Harland, Uzbek dorya master Abbos Kosimov, and jazz-infuenced multi-instrumentalist Mark de Clive-Lowe.
